While wandering the charming old streets, you'll find a laid-back, welcoming vibe for LGBTQ+ visitors. The gay scene here is smaller than Lisbon's but super friendly, with a handful of fun bars and clubs clustered downtown that really come alive on weekends.

Any Gay District in Port Charlotte largely remains an unknown LGBT hotspot and this is mostly due to its slow rate of growth in service that cater to them in comparison to other cities where there have been explosions of the gay scene.
